General Public x Fade To Zaire ft. Reginald Omas Mamode IV +

General Public & Fade To Zaire return to Paper Dress this September for an evening of live music and electronic sounds till late!

The headliner for this edition see’s Reginald Omas Mamode IV take to the General Public controllers, rolling us into the early hours after an evening of live music.

Limited advance tickets available here

This man not only fly’s the flag for south London’s unstoppable musical tidal wave. He along with 22a records and Rhythm Section crew, started it. His music nods to the likes of John Coltrane, Yusef Lateef as well as Hip Hop and Neo Soul artists such as Slum Village and SARA. Mamode’s productions take you from a gentle head nod to serious toe tap, infusing sub base warmth drawn from deep Reggae influences along with off centre kicks and out of position rim shots. All harmonically held together with his own clement vocals.

This time around Omas Mamode steps away from the live set and delves into his record collection to serve up the dance for a 2 hour set of pure musical badness!

Fade To Zaire are also back in the ring this time around. Fighting from the ‘Your New Shit’ Corner. The title of their debut E.P. out on Fade To Zaire Records. Which is making waves on the dance music scene across the country and around the globe. Selling out in Japan! Its also been featured with strong reception on Giles Peterson’s 6 music show. Big things ahead for this Mancunian duo!

We will also be hosting three live acts this September. Combining live instrumentalist with, beats, base and lyricism. Each bringing their unique take on the free flowing musical expression known as Jazz.
