Chicken Shack! Deep Fried 50′s and 60′s Rock and Roll Party
Thu 12 Julprofile
MFC Chicken and specially selected guest bands and DJ’s turn’ the Paper Dress Vintage shop on Curtain Road into a greasy hoppin’, cluckin’, struttin’ Rock and Roll Chicken Shack the second Thursday of each month.
This months line up is as hot and greasy as ever, in fact I’d say it’s hotter and greasier than ever.
THE RUSTY NAILS
Great greasy, saxy instrumentals! Stompin’, slidin’ filth that will have you begging for more. Think surf, pacific northwest instrumentals, Las Vegas Grind…then get your ass down to see them play!
SIXTEEN and THE SIDEWINDERS
One of the hottest new rockabilly acts in London, Sixteen draws inspiration from the likes of Eddie Cochran, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis and Johnny Burnette. He is also one half of the guitar force in the supergroup King Mob alongside Chris Spedding (Robert Gordon, Roxy Music, John Cale, Paul McCartney), Steve ‘Snips’ Parsons (Sharks) and Martin Chambers (The Pretenders).
And of course your hosts MFC Chicken will be there serving up some of their own secret recipe, in the very last gig before they launch their new album into the world. See them while their still unsigned and cheap!
As usual, it’s just 3 quid for 3 great bands, and the party goes from 7-11.
