The Wharves play twisting, enchanting indiepop with nods to The Breeders, melodic psych folk and the deep blue beyond.
Lund’s Junodef have a sound that rages with a gloomy, ethereal and lyrical beauty, like a rainy seaside landscape, gentle keys swept over by long and lush guitar and soft, evocative vocals.
The Potentials are queer feminist punks playing rambunctious and enthralling Pop with lyrical themes cut from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Vyk Non are an art-punk noise bomb whose sound sparks out in glorious, angsty shards from the seedy slow-burn, at times Fall and Joy Division-esque.
serac play sparkling, folk-inflected Pop with a sweet, magic jangle, a spaghetti Western allure and a warm lyrical interior.
Then at 11pm Kerouac’s bandanna wraps around the lampshade like a Crystals chorus, setting the scene for the ghosts of 60s girl groups, Northern Soul and rock’n’roll join the most shit-kicking indiepop, new wave, post-punk and riot grrrl till the milkman’s bottles rattle round Mare Street.
