SEA STACKS

Sea Stacks is the creation of Davy Berryman. Combining orchestral instrumentations to create wind and string-strafed indie music that takes influence from Jonsi/Sigur Rós and Sufjan Stevens, amongst others.

Starting in late June 2011 with just a handful of songs and a studio, Davy set out with only one rule, mostly unbroken; that there would be no guitars or pianos used. Seven months, 3 studios, and nearly 40 collaborators later and Sea Stacks was ready.

LIGHT FALLS FORWARD
Light Falls Forward are an acoustic folk band that blend the mournful beauty of Sharon von Ettan with the wistful intelligence of Elbow. They sound at times cinematic, at times intimate but always leaving you feeling in the words of Weather The Storm on their debut EP – “it’s all ok”.

Their sound is at times cinematic, at times close and intimate with a wistful longing for an escape from the tensions of everyday life. The themes are built around day-to-day struggles but contain an optimism that makes you feel that, in the closing words of Weather The Storm, “It’s all OK”. The music draws its influences from Elbow, Angus and Julia Stone and Belle and Sebastian.
