Kilimanjaro Presents: Folly Rae + support

We’re delighted to welcome FOLLY RAE for a headline show on Thursday 28 July.

Limited tickets available here: http://myticket.co.uk/artists/folly-rae

“Born in Hertfordshire with Norwegian extraction, Folly trained as a classical dancer before deciding to pursue her love for music.

Spending time between her family home and various friends’ sofas around London, Folly found herself penning records for various artists and growing her reputation as a lead vocalist in the process. After creating some ripples in the industry she eventually started working with Sticky Studios, the production house behind artists such as Ed Sheeran & Paloma Faith. Folly’s magnetic vocals blended perfectly with Sticky’s world class sounds and she soon found her debut EP supported by the likes of Huw Stephens on BBC Radio 1, DJ Target on BBC 1Xtra and websites such as i-D.

With a style that’s been described as a cross between Lana Del Rey, Zara Larsson and Ellie Goulding, Folly Rae is one of the most exciting female prospects for 2017, emanating an alchemy of sounds that have the potential to captivate audiences worldwide. It’s no wonder the BBC chose her as one of just eleven artists to perform out in Texas for their 2016 SXSW showcases alongside the likes of Stormzy, Lapsley, Jake Bugg and Shakka.

Never one to stand still, Folly Rae has been hard at work creating her follow up project ‘Hard To Love’. The 4-track EP features production from the likes of Sticky Studios and Nana Rogues (the genius behind Tinie Tempah’s latest smash ‘Girls Like’). The lead single ‘Hard To Love’ mixes Folly’s unmistakable vocals with a haunting production that can only be described as an unlikely but brilliant fusion of hiphop and alternative-pop. The record has attracted praise from key industry tastemakers – solidifying Folly’s position as the future of British pop.”
