Oddbox Records Present: The Ethical Debating Society / Witching Waves / Hobby Club

Oddbox Records is back for another great night of live music..this is what they have to say about the night:

“The 2nd of our Monday night shows at the new and improved Paper Dress (the gig room has had a face lift since our last sold out show by Peaness).

This time around we’ve got the ever wonderful The Ethical Debating Society playing. They’ve been recording new songs for various compilations – so we can expect a blistering set of old favourites and some new deconstructed punk hits. Their last LP ‘New Sense’ from 2015 is long since sold out on vinyl.

Witching Waves are Mark and Emma. They’ve recently been joined by Estella (Junk) on bass. They have released two sold out LPs (Fear Of Falling Down (2014) and Crystal Cafe (2016) – both on Soft Power). Witching Waves make melodic yet raucous pop music – having toured the UK with the likes of Suggested Friends, Rattle, Crumbs and the US with Eureka California.

Yeah, we booked a third band. New to us and exciting it’s a new duo from London called Hobby Club. No sounds online, but they come highly recommend. Jangled pop with distinctive vocals – maybe a slight hint of (early) Flowers about the bands bedroom pop sound.

As ever we will have a small selection of Odd Box goodies for sale on the merch stall.”

Advance tickets going for just £4. It’ll be £5 on the door.
