Oxford Style – Single Launch

On Wednesday 27 August we welcome Oxford Style to launch their new single ‘Halcyon Days’

Oxford Style combine melodic pop, piano-led cabaret and heavy guitar riffs to create music that is both elegant and aggressive.

“I think I may have a new favourite artist” – Exploding Head Syndrome

“I absolutely love it. It is just well crafted alternative pop music” – Digital Fix

With support from…

MAT MOTTE

We challenge you to find anything else in this world like Mat Motte. Energetic, feisty and a little bit bonkers, Mat really is the definitive ‘one off’ in a music world increasingly populated by copy-cat opportunists and serial re-hashers. A Mat Motte live show is “like watching someone go through a very public nervous breakdown”. It’s all there – blood, tears and a bucket load of sweat.

WITHOUT FIDEL

Without Fidel were formed by three-quarters of celebrated electronic indie-poppers Applicants (“Bona-fide geniuses” – NME, “Riotus” – Artrocker, “Parallel universe popstars” – The Guardian) – although a more back-to-basics prospect than their forebears, but no less entertaining for it. With a stripped-back line-up of acoustic guitar, drums, and whatever instruments the local charity shop happens to have in stock, the band take their lead from Moldy Peaches, The Pastels, Nikki Minaj, Yuck, Felt and Megadeth. Their professed aim is “to treat every show like a party – to which you’re invited, my friend.”

DJ’s before, after and during.
