The Music Box presents: Stephen Hallam, Kindred Quartet, Samantha Whates & Dan Beaulaurier!

Another beautiful, relaxing, inspirational and uplifting evening of folk, roots and acoustic music. The night is pay-what-you-can-afford on the door and it all goes – 100% – back to the artists.

Stephen Hallam – 8pm:
Stephen Hallam plays folk(ish) tunes with harmonica, usually in the key of B flat, if you feel like blowing along. He also runs the popular live music night ‘Before The Gold Rush’, engineers live music, and records and produces other artists on the London folky circuit.

Kindred Quartet – 8:40pm:
A brand new four-part close-harmony vocal group that sing blue grass, folk tunes and spirituals mixed with original songs to create an amazing blend of old and new featuring Sam Robson, James Rose, Sereta Baldwin and Ian Bennett. Perfect whisky drinking music!

Samantha Whates – 9:20pm:
Samantha is simply one of our favourite singer-songwriters in London. We’re so excited that she’s back at TMB!

“Sometimes, a song is playing and the room becomes absolutely still and quiet. There is no interruption save for the singer’s measured breathing as it balances airlessly on the melody. A single instrument picks out only as much notation as is necessary to frame the piece. A great song needs very little embroidery to keep us interested because all the pattern you need is in its story and the telling of it.” Intsrumentali.

Dan Beaulaurier and Anna Robinson – 10pm
Originally from Northern California, Dan is currently based in London. His music is best filed under americana brooding space rock psyched anticipation rock.

Pay by donation. 100% of proceeds go to the artists.
Bar open til 11:30pm.
