Scratchy & Diddy Wah’s April All-Dayer @ Paper Dress Yard!

We’re back at Paper Dress Yard for our first post-lockdown Saturday and our friends Adam Diddy Wah & DJ Scratchy will bring Spring fever to the Shack with an all-day DJ fiesta!

To get back in the spirit, they’ve invited along a couple of their DJ pals, Hey Paula! and Joey Hill, from the London-based rockin’ vinyl world, to join them in this monumental coming-out-of-lockdown session.

Expect a wild nine-hour mix of seven decades of blues, surf, rockabilly, rhythm and blues, latin, ska, gospel, garage, soul and rock’n’roll from the four ace selectors.

DIDDY WAH
https://www.mixcloud.com/Diddywah/stream/London based vinyl slinger Diddy Wah is deep into the wild sounds of early rock’n’roll, primitive surf’n’garage and screamin’ rhythm’n’blues. As well as running the Heavy Sugar and Ultra Twist club nights, he often guest DJs at clubs and festivals in the UK and abroad. He has a regular radio gig on NTS and compiled Slow Grind Fever, Buzzsaw Joint and Rockinitis LPs for Stag-O-Lee Records.

SCRATCHY SOUNDS
https://www.mixcloud.com/scr_snds/Scratchy Sounds kicked off his extensive DJ life in the bars of London, 45 years ago, playing shows with the likes of The Ramones, The Heartbreakers, The Cramps, Dr. Feelgood and spending two years on the road as The Clash Tour DJ. Joining up again with Joe Strummer in 2001, he has since toured alongside The Pogues and Gogol Bordello, as well as setting festivals, concerts and clubs alight, from Colombia to Japan to London’s Gypsy Hotel, with his fiery concoctions of The Rock and The Roll of The World and Roots Rockin’ Rhythms and Blues.

HEY PAULA!

Hey Paula! echoes many a DJ’s sentiment. “It’s been a while since I was behind the decks. Can’t wait to play the records I’ve been listening to at home during the last months!” Whether by herself or as a member of The Deadbeat Club, Paula can always be relied on for some kick-ass Rock’n’Roll.

JOEY HILL
Joey Hill brings Music for Mods and Rockers! Joey spins all with a hot rockin’ BEAT. She hosts the Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! Show on Barrelhouse Radio and plays in Rockabilly band The Obscuritones and Freakbeat girl group The Trouble. Insta: joey_the_tornado
