Collapsed Lung are back and headlining Hackney’s Paper Dress Vintage on Friday 24 September with support from Catmilk and followed by Paper Dress 80s till late!
It’ll be the first gig in nearly two years for the band who not only brought you the outlaw footie anthem Eat My Goal, but so much more as well. Think a hip hop version of Half Man Half Biscuit. Expect a set spanning their 90s output, 2018 album Zero Hours Band (which is now on Spotify as well as the band’s Bandcamp site) and some debut outings for songs from their upcoming 2022 album. The struggle is (keeping it) real!
All-round entertainers from Harlow, Collapsed Lung utilise an unconventional hip-hop derived musical format, but also intersperse rowdy electric guitar and mid-song comedy banter.
Support comes from Catmilk. After the live music the gig turns into a club with Paper Dress 80s Club DJs playing ‘simply the best’ hits & dancefloor fillers from the 80’s, featuring music from:
New Order / Talk Talk / Human League / Echo & The Bunnymen / Tears For Fears / Devo / Gary Numan / Depeche Mode / The B52’s / The Smiths / Frankie Goes To Hollywood / Simple Minds / The Cult / The Outfield / Tom Tom Club / The Cure / Madonna / A Flock Of Seagulls / ABC / U2 / Michael Jackson / Prince / Bruce Springsteen / Hall & Oates / David Bowie / Wang Chung & loads more.
