New London-based indie label Silvietta Records is proud to announce its debut release with a limited edition (300 on opaque yellow vinyl), split seven-inch single featuring two fantastic London bands; Boy Marina and The Fallen Sky, both making their vinyl debut.
Now you are invited to join the celebrations as the bands perform an extended repertoire, while the distinctive record will be available for purchase online from Friday, September 15th and of course, at this unique event.
**Boy Marina**
Melding 90s wall of sound, reverb-drenched guitar and ethereal vocals with a dynamic rhythm, Boy Marina formed in Late 2021 and sold out their debut show at MAP Studios in April 2022. The band went out to play at venues such as the Old Blue Last, The George Tavern and Mascara Bar, the latter involving the launch of their first two singles ‘Love Song (Live)’ and ‘Thousand Dreams’ on cassette tape. The music video for Thousand Dreams directed by Harry Harper arrived a month later, helping establish this debut studio single as a profound early achievement in their first year, with its success prompting the conception of this distinctive colour vinyl.
**The Fallen Sky**
The Fallen Sky are a five-piece shoegaze band from London. First formed as a recording project by Paul Davenport (guitar) and Tony Harper (guitar, vocals) in Bromley, South East London, the line-up now features Anusha Leonard (guitar, vocals) Katie Green (bass) and Stephen Green (drums). Their unique, blissful sound has been described as atmospheric and melodic, and is frequently likened to the ethereal soundscapes featured in the work of director David Lynch.
The party will continue between bands and afterwards, with Silvietta Records owner Omar Sheriff on the decks spinning his sublime selection of dream-pop and shoegaze, so this is bound to be a night to remember, and we can’t wait to share it with you!
