After a summer in the studio, Fast Money Music is back with a second EP, simply titled “Rouge”. The lead single, “Hot Melt Glue”, is an angular joyride of a pop song, exploring themes of self-will, temptation and self-control. It’s that exhaustive search for a spiritual adhesive. You’re trying to put yourself back together, but you’re still looking in all the wrong places.
What is Fast Money Music? Could be fast. Could be money. Could even be music. Maybe it’s none of the above and everything at the same time. It’s the solo project of Nick Hinman, an American-born and East London-based musician and producer, molding his love of post-punk, no wave, protopunk and pop music (the nostalgic and familiar) into something unique and original.
The latest single, “Polar Bear”, was released in November 2023 and was featured on RadioX’s X-Posure with John Kennedy, BBC Radio1’s Future Artists with Tara Kumar, as well as Shell Zenner’s Track of the Week on Amazing Radio UK.
Fast Money Music headlines Paper Dress Vintage on April 10th for the release of Hot Melt Glue, accompanied by John Waugh of The 1975 on saxophone.
Plus special guests Queen Qwong:
Alongside the discordant, noisy sound she creates in the studio, she’s developed a reputation for her live shows on both sides of the Atlantic for her wild and visceral performances, earning her comparisons to Nirvana, Swans, Patti Smith, and Iggy Pop.
