DUCK WAX
Duck Wax have been electrifying crowds since day one. Thump in yer trunk drummer Luke Gordon holding it down in the back; whilst bassist Lord Archibald rumbles out lines that could drive an 18-wheeler. Guitarists Hector Lindsay and Jacob Gartside flirt away across the stage, all the time saxophonist Augustus Lindsay rains down heavenly fire from way up on high.
Described by some as ‘the mystic revelation of rock funk’, others as ‘an electric avenue jazz rumble’, and many many more as ‘who?’, you most definitely need to find out the answer.
RY-GUY
South London based RY-GUY emerges with a uniquely crafted sound. Infused with expressive lyrics and a textured backdrop that swings between the threads of Trip-hop and Kraut-rock, this form of psychedelia is entirely his own.
ESPUMA
Espuma, which means the head of a beer in Spanish, play a blend of kaleidoscopic guitar tones and latin rhythms with lyrics about acid trips and heatwaves, performing at times with a frenetic energy usually seen in punk when not serving up slices of tropical surf.
A mixture of instrumental, Spanish and English songs inspired by Peruvian chicha – the Andean country’s 1960s mix of Colombian cumbia, indigenous huayno and Western surf and psychedelia – creates a unique flavour that adds to the Western musical vocabulary while paying homage to the South American pioneers.
