Animai is a producer singer-songwriter emerging from the London underground scene, with notable collaborations including Grammy Award winning artist Flowdan, and dubstep pioneer Youngsta, establishing her as a formidable and unique talent. Animai is a trained Jazz musician with a love for sound system culture and film scores, these influences inspire her deep, emotive composition and production style. Her powerful haunting vocals express the emotions of everyday life, her personal journey through mental health and the pressures of city living. Drawing influence from Massive Attack, Burial, Ivy Lab and James Blake, she perfectly combines meaningful lyrics with interesting harmonies and hypnotic beats.
