Psychedelic punks DaemöniK Fonce curate an evening of idiosyncratic brilliance featuring live performances from dark country RnR band Erika & The Ravens & 80s electonic synth heads Châlet de la Roche.
DAEMONIK FONCE
Deep-thinking with heavy personality, pulling in references from Fairport Convention, Sex Pistols, LKJ, JCC, Hawkwind, Buzzcocks and Magazine.
When Welsh twins Stewart & Paul Summers (Ten Benson / The Sharp Tongues) started some experimental recordings combining psychedelia, poetry and punk rock, the resulting songs got them thinking….
Recruiting old touring comrades Sam Mansbridge (The Rumblestrips) on bass, Hanna Edgren (Tits Of Death) on keys and vocals and Andy Prestidge (Morlock, Angelwitch, Warning) on drums, DaemöniK Fonce were fully formed.
Invited to support bands including Sea Power, The Jim Jones All Stars, Gaye Bykers On Acid, the transformation from home studio project to fully fledged jaw dropping live band was complete.
ERIKA & THE RAVENS
Dark Country & Ethereal Rock&Roll
Hailing from Spain now based in London, Erika’s siren tales sing of misadventure & mystery. Hypnotic dark ballads blend with stripped back early rock&roll & country to create enchanting cinematic nuggets.
Accompanied by Simon Wild (Oh! Gunquit) on Guitar & Vincenzo Di Mattei (Midnite Crawlers) Drums. Erika & The Ravens pull you into an immersive little world of enticing possibilities & magical melodies.
CHALET DE LA ROCHE
Describing their sound, half-jokingly, as « The future of music – in 1980! » their moody, atmospheric debut album reflects the tribal 1980s touchstones imprinted into their respective DNA: New Order/ Joy Division, Human League, The Cure, the odd stolen Pixies bassline … but Châlet de la Roche also absorbs shoegaze / dreampop into its palette and would not be what it is without the influence of the 80s/ early 90’s dance music revolution.
Châlet de la Roche is Francophiles David Willis & Tones Sansom. David is a veteran of many bands, including You Will Flood the River and Origami Horses; Tones has mostly spent his time working behind the scenes of the music business.
