TOO MANY THINGS
TOO MANY THINGS are Marion Andrau and Jem Doulton, two lost souls trying to
find an inescapable truth while attempting to limit themselves by doing even more
and making some songs in the process. Maybe an odd approach but they have form
having played in groups such as The Thurston Moore Group, Throw Down Bones,
The Wharves and The Oscillation and kicked off their duo in tandem with Deb Googe
of My Bloody Valentine with a split 12” and subsequent single. It’s moody, it has
psych in the core and grooves with melodies sucking you into a world that is a
possible mirror to the one we inhabit but easily forgotten.

RAINBOW ISLAND:
Rainbow Island is an interdimensional-psychedelic based in Rome formed by
PikkioMania, Simne Donadni, Lou Pappagallo and DJ Kimchi. Their musical
research ranges from Interdimensional Folk to Gombo Riddims and acts to create
psychedelic sounds and atmospheres. Their debut dates back to 2012 with the
album RNBW, released by Flying Kids Records. In 2017 they released the acclaimed
Crystal Smerluvio Riddims, an album produced by No=Fi Recordings in collaboration
with Flying Kids Records. Their third work, Illmatrix, of 2020, published by the Fifth
World label ArteTetra, marked an even more narcotizing and deforming turning point
in the band’s experimental path. Their latest work, “Moonlit Panacea” out on Riforma
is a brand new interdimensional journey: blurred riddims and psychedelic ritual
ambient music released on tape.
“Dubby psychedelic ambient worlds full of elemental texture to immerse oneself in
and drift away on” – Bandcamp Daily
“Rainbow Island’s music revels in instability, the sense this mirage-like dub could
dissolve back into the drift from whence it came at a moment’s notice.” – The Quietus
“Cryptic undercurrents and effervescent psychedelia collide on the ritualistic rhythms
of Rainbow Island’s hypnotic new album” – Foxy Digitalis
“The quartet create alternate realms and play with a real sense of freedom: the
Destinations, goals undecided, the listener allowed to just be guided wherever the
flow and direction of travel takes them” – Monolith Cocktail
