Deeper Cuts: ATFK + Clara Serra López
Deeper Cuts celebrates jazz-ish music – artists giving it a twist, fusing it with other gloriousness and pushing things forward. It’s a bi-monthly live night at the warm, welcoming Paper Dress Vintage in Hackney.
Our first show of 2026 will be on Thursday 5th Feb with the exceptional ATFK coming all the way down from Newcastle, to bring you a hefty dose of jazz-meets-folk-meets-electronics. Just the kind of disrespect for genre boundaries we’re all about!
They will be joined by the phenomenal Clara Serra López – a singer, producer and keys player, who pulls threads of her Catalan, Spanish and Cuban heritage through a jazzy maze of synths and drum machines.
Start your year in music off right! >>
ATFK
Accordion and drums like you’ve never heard before.
Meet the untethered brainchild of Amy Thatcher and Francesca Knowles. This genre-blasting duo defy the preconceptions of what their instruments can do, breaking with tradition while tactfully adopting it as a playground for experimentation. ATFK’s sound is one of both raucous energy and sympathetic intensity, combining percussion, synths, keys and vocals for an unapologetic brew of colourful composition. Bringing their dynamic and ever-evolving live show back on the road in early 2026, this is one not to miss.
Their audacious sophomore album, Repeat For Joy, is out now. Prepare to be veered off the tracks.
