This will be the closing night of our Independent Venue Week 2026, and it’s gonna go with a big bang ! 🔥🔥🔥
Expect heavy doses of noise, sweat, mosh as we gather some legendary bands that are the very backbone of the independent London music scene for one show that will take us from goofy prog rock, to hypnotizing electronica, and finally to some heavy post-punk and noise-rock madness 💥😱
HOUSE ARREST
If Devo were the founding fathers of de-volution, then House Arrest are the children of the de-volved. Slathered in Vaseline and dipped in gravy, a warped cacophony of fried synths, slimy basslines, warbled guitars and lyrics straight from the mind of the mad.
A band whose sonic presence lurks within the caliginous waters of post-punk wearing disco shoes and wrapping itself in no-wave sensibilities.
House Arrest don’t shy away from the grime and grit but instead hoard it, moulding it into bite-size chunks of infectious driven gutter-rock. With live shows that are a looser than spare change but musicianship that is tight and precise, House Arrest have carved a chunk in the current musical landscape and continue to dig deeper into unknown territory
THE KITCHEN SINK
’’One man’s t*rr0rist, is another man’s freedom fighter. One man’s Kitchen Sink, is another man’s synthesiser’’
We would describe them as a singular and mysterious noise entity blending fuzzy chorusy guitars with electronic kitchen sink percussions and krautrock drum beats, they’re an absolute riot and you shouldn’t miss them for any reason in the world.
MR SPEED
Classic pop songwriting and dad rock guitar wanking from ex-Gag Salon members. You’ve never heard anything like this.
