‘Caslean’s Famiresu Band’ album — London bonus gig
Following an album tour across China and Japan last year, Caslean brings ‘Caslean’s Famiresu Band’ to London for a special bonus gig.
Despite its name, ‘Caslean’s Famiresu Band’ is a fictional band imagined by Caslean’s label 1asia, with the album written, produced, performed, and mixed largely by herself. Blending city pop, shibuya-kei, jazz, synth-pop, and lounge music, it imagines a soundtrack for Sunday brunches, onsen trips, and afternoons spent in a jazz kissa.
As Resident Advisor once put it: “When life isn’t going as planned, the dreamy slices of Shibuya-kei make everything feel tolerable.”
The evening will feature an opening DJ set from Forbidden Hawaiian Sound Service and a special closing DJ set from Izumi ‘Mimi’ Kobayashi.
