The Lash headline this are a 45,000 RPM rock & soul hurricane from Newport, South Wales, UK, featuring the astonishing vocal talents of Erin McNamara and former 60ft Dolls drummer Carl Bevan behind the kit and production duties.
Formed in 2011, the quintet spent most of last year holed up writing and recording before exploding on the live scene in 2012.

The hype around these guys at the moment is incredible – and rightfully so. THE SHADES’ incredible blend of ballsy blues rock’n’roll, fuzzy guitar feedback and driven backbeats has recently received radio play in Belgium and on several stations in The States. They carry all the cheek and swagger of early Kings Of Leon and just the right amount of post-teen angst and intelligent pace changes make it easy to draw comparisons with the likes of The Gaslight Anthem, Against Me and The Hold Steady.
