The Music Box Folk & Acoustic monthly club returns with….
Robin Grey – 8:15
His music has been described as ‘gently experimental nu-folk’ and compared to Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits and Elliot Smith – he is a bit distressed by the misspelling of the word ‘new’ but doesn’t let it distract him from the serious business of acquiring and learning new instruments and writing songs.
James McArthur and the Head Gardeners – 9:00
Welsh born James McArthur has played drums and percussion for all sorts of people and studios before picking up the acoustic guitar and writing music and lyrics for himself. He has performed at The Music Box once before and absolutely blew us away!
Harry Mundy and Band – 9:45
With a love of classic songwriting and an eclectic taste in music, Harry has developed his own brand of acoustic based music predominantly touching on aspects of Americana, Folk and Alt. Country. Harry is currently touring his debut album, Colour Myself Back In, which was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee, by Matt Andrews (Gillian Welch, Dave Rawlings) with members of The Cardinals as his band.
