Greg, Kev, Josh and Nick recently came together over their love of James Murphy and post punk bands like Television and more recently The Rapture. They play their own brand of synth laden, percussion heavy, guitar music.
Early demos caught the attention of The Kaiser Chiefs who booked them on their Feb 2012 UK tour. Native Tongue immediately got to work to write more songs and to ripen their live set.
A few days in their home studio produced their first single, ‘Read Lips’, which was released in June 2012 together with remixes by Death in Vegas, Filthy Dukes and Hermanos Inglesos.
2013 sees the band release an EP of new material, departing slightly from their usual sound. The EP is due out in July.

Creatures of Love’s music has been described as an eerie, gothic, distorted crescendo of electronic drones, inspired from the likes of Nine Inch Nails & Fever Ray.
The band toured with The Joy Formidable on their 9 date UK & Ireland tour which saw them playing venues such as The HMV Forum & The Birmingham Institute.
They’ve also picked up radio support from John Kennedy’s XFM Exposure show, 6 Music & BBC Radio 1 from Jen Longs Introducing show, which featured 2 live tracks from Cardiff’s swn festival and an interview with the band. Jen described them as “Like Massive Attack but darker”.
PLUS A DJ SET FROM SOFT TEMPO DJs playing a mix of retro rock’n’roll, northern soul and old school Indie hits.
