THE WATTINGERS – a deep fuzzy blues band who sound like Howling Wolf’s skeleton dancing in the desert with Seasick Steve and Bob Log III in a headlock
Paper Dress favourites the PENNY ORCHIDS, whose trumpet-led rhythms, wonky keyboard lines and gravelly Nick Cave-esque chimes set the place on fire at Halloween.
Plus a vinyl only DJ set from Kevin Essien featuring classic Northern Soul, Rock n Roll and vintage gems!
Then afterwards at midnight, Kerouac’s scarf will droop over the lovely lamplights, and amidst a perfect red tint the fractured ghosts of swing jazz, 60s girl groups, garage and rock’n’roll will join the most shimmering, pulsing and fuck off new wave, riot grrrl and indiepop for a dreamy dancio disco till 3.

Music stripped down to the bare bones, inspired by the old blues players, with a black sense of humour, leaning in to the grimy underbelly of Western Steampunk. Influences from Tobe Hooper’s Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Sante Sangre, El Topo, original Night of the Hunter, Cannibal The Musical and The Child Ballads.
