NORMANTON STREET
“Sounds born from Hip Hop, Soul, Jazz and RnB. Now based in Brighton Normanton Street are a quintet from Bradford, Bristol, Belfast & Crawley. Guitars, bass, drums, saxophone, harmonic vocals and lyrically driven verses complete the eclectic sound. Their new release, The Phoebe Freya EP, is a 7-track seduction in organic vibes named after their new singer who’s been adding dreamy melodies over the top of some tight production skills.” Jay Brewer – The Remedy
HOOKS
After trading in a quiet suburban life in Yorkshire for a converted warehouse in Finsbury park, Hooks have spent the better part of two years diving their time between constant rehearsals and massive week long parties. Using their shared space as a safe haven for both work and play, their surroundings have helped carve out the band’s instantly likeable sound and reflect the band’s penchant for catchy hooks and light hearted charisma.
With a growing reputation, Hooks are an addictive medley of loud drums, fuzzy guitars and ferocious energy that marks them as serious contenders for ‘ones to watch’ this year with a sound that marries the nostalgic fun and distinctly British rawness of 80’s post punk a la Gang of Four.
Plus a DJ set from Ola’s Kool Kitchen!
The Kitchen will provide you with all you the sounds you need to get your knees up between bands. Prepare for hot fever to move your feet to a swinging beat. Steamy and very sweet for that Friday night shindig feeling!
