The Manhattan Love Suicides, fresh from melting the ceiling of the railwaymens’ church at Indietracks in the summer, will lay the shop window stage to waste with waves of gutter glamour, melodic fuzz and shimmer.
The Wharves will warm your cockles with a swirling bass, drum and dual vocal attack from the poetic depths;
and Ghost Car will kiss your lips and kick your balls with a set of smouldering girl group harmonies and sweet keyboard-driven, riot-grrrl-tinged stompers.
Then afterwards, after a slithering set of 50s/60s soul, blues rocksteady and indiepop from Jen Schande, at 11.30 Kerouac’s bandanna will hit the lampshade with the touch of a Crystals’ chorus, creating a perfect red hue for the ghosts of 60s girl groups, garage, rock’n’roll, jive and swing to join the sweetest new wave, post-punk, riot grrrl and indiepop for a dancio disco till the milkman comes.
