Paul Straws and band – 10pm
Liverpool based singer-songwriter Paul Straws tells tales of love, loss and betrayal. Lauded for his ‘great songwriting’ by Tom Robinson, Paul will be bringing the full-band sound to The Music Box, including mandolin, cello and drum accompaniment.
Tim Jones and the Dark Lanterns – 9.20pm
Influenced by English folk and traditional music, Tim Jones plays a set of songs journeying from the depths of Hades to the mining valleys of South Wales, taking in ghoulish apparitions, anthropomorphic cats and Queen Elizabeth’s dastardly plans for the British Isles.
Neil Cousin – 8.40
Neil Cousin lives and records his music in the Fens, and is currently working on his fifth album. With a knack of making you believe it’s written about you, Cousin combines indie-folk simplicity with penetrating lyricism and emotive, resonant vocals.
