THE REELERS
The Reelers are 6 young Londoners from Brixton who met at dance clubs through the Roots revival scene, currently flourishing in London.
The band was assembled by lead singer Cass Cook, with the mission to start making a fresh version of the1950s black rock ‘n’ roll music, the origins of rock and roll, that never gained mainstream success due to the political and racial issues of the era.
“The Reelers are a rare refreshing gem in the modern music market; the music industry is going mad for them right now.. and so will you!” – Q Magazine
“The Reelers are raw and unpolished, but it is real, genuine and just like the one-take recordings of roots RnB of the 50s; it is 100% honest.” – Blues & Soul Magazine
THE FAMILY MONROE
Like the performers they admire, The Family Monroe write and sing songs that come directly from the heart and aim for the jugular. Taking major influences from the music and films from the 50s and 60s, the music echoes a golden era of teenage heartbreak, with a darker lyrical twist often exploring the connections between love and violence, sex and control. Formed in LIverpool in the summer of 2012, The Family Monroe are everything a classic pop band should be.
PLUS SPECIAL GUESTS THE ACTION MEN WHO WILL BE PERFORMING A SPECIAL XMAS ROUTINE!
