WALK UPRIGHT
Walk Upright are a North London fourpiece who make timeless, tousled pop music.

Denis Osborne (vocals and guitar), Dee Mcgrudy (hammond organ and vocals), Richard Easeman (bass) and Ed Phillips (drums) have been kicking around Stoke Newington playing together, drinking together and knocking into shape an eclectic sound that touches on the ire of Mclusky, and the skewed sensibilities of Super Furry Animals or Pavement, but maintains a sense of mischief that’s very much their own.

THOSE UNFORTUNATES
Those Unfortunates formed in January 2013, almost taking their name from B S Johnson’s 1969 ‘book in a box.’ They write “songs about hapless businessman and dead entertainers, lives viewed from bedroom windows or across Underground carriages.”

Those Unfortunates wear herringbone coats and oxblood shoes without ever really managing to look rakish. Their songs aim for the wit and warmth of bands like The Kinks and Television Personalities. They are self-deprecating, for the most part, and self-contained. They sound harder than they sound.

GOLDEN SPIKE
Golden Spike is the bastard country love child of two Australians, an Irishman and a Kentucky Colonel. Formed in London in 2015, they take a sideways approach to Power Pop, Alt-Country and old-time mysticism. Bring your own hammer.

Plus a DJ set from Ola’s Kool Kitchen!
Our regular mama with the sounds!
