It is with great pride that Homemade Disco announce Le Juki, Howlround and David.

Le Juki bring together a fresh taste of menagerie, referencing classic soul/blues, grime and psych folk, blending lush harmonies and progressive song structures with a child-like simplicity. Their own combination of virtuosity and musical primitivism, and a very adventurous approach to composition, is both familiar yet totally unique.

‘Any band that can construct a drum kit from the contents of a freezer box (using said box as a bass drum) are OK by me. They display dizzying levels of virtuosity throwing stop-start rhythms, vocal gymnastics and prog flourishes together with wild abandon’ – ArtNoise review.

Howlround

First coming to prominence with hugely-acclaimed 2012 LP The Ghosts Of Bush, Howlround create recordings and performances entirely from manipulating natural acoustic sounds on vintage reel-to-reel tape machines, with additional reverb or electronic effects strictly forbidden – a process that has seen their work compared to William Basinski, Philip Jeck, Morton Feldman and even the sculptures of Rachel Whiteread’

Since then, they have released two more LPs – 2013’s Secret Songs Of Savamala, recorded almost entirely in a flooded basement in wintry Serbia; and 2014’s Torridon Gate, which was created using an ordinary suburban garden gate, three tape machines and not much else.

Support comes from David. Live rhythm based electronic music by someone on the verge of being in control of generative systems and analogue synthesisers.
