Chicken Shack! Deep Fried 1950’s/60’s Rock ‘n Roll Party

Ladies and Gentlemen, Hens and Roosters:

Mark it in your Calendars. Starting Wednesday, February 1st, MFC Chicken and specially selected guest bands and DJ’s will be turnin’ the Paper Dress Vintage shop on Curtain Road into a greasy hoppin’, cluckin’, struttin’ Rock and Roll Chicken Shack on the FIRST WEDNESDAY of each and every month!

WHAT WILL IT SOUND LIKE?

Finger lickin’ 1950’s and 60’s Rock & Roll, Rhythm & Blues, Rockabilly, Garage, Surf, Frat and Beat

WHEN WILL IT HAPPEN?
The First Wednesday of every month! It all kicks off at 8 and finishes up at 11 so you can get to work the next day without feeling completely trashed.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?
3 quid at the door, JUST 2 QUID if you RSVP “attending” to this event!

WHO’S PLAYING on FEB 1st?
I’m glad you asked, cause it’s a pretty killer line-up. In addition to swingin’ vinyl cuts spun by Colonel Spencer and friends, here’s who’s comin’ down to lay it down live:

THE NEASDEN BEES
http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Neasden-Bees/111969422194269?sk=wall
A three-piece, all-girl, hard-rockin’-beat band with added buzz, fuzz and a sting! (ouch!) These girls are new in town, and you better believe they are ready to help you get down. Be among the first to have your socks knocked up by these lovely girls.

THE BOOM BOOM BOOMS

3 singers, 2 screamin’ Gretsches, and 1 hot sax are the bedrock sound of a truly international band of miscreants with personnel hailing from Liverpool, London, Toronto, New York City, and Points Unknown deep in the Australian Outback. The Boom Boom Booms WILL make you move whether playing their own brand of rockabilly goodness or brewing up a tasty gumbo of early rock n roll, swing, soul, blues, and country classics.

MFC CHICKEN
http://www.facebook.com/MFCChicken
Formed on top of a dirty chicken shop on Holloway Road, MFC Chicken play wild, raw, sax-fueled rock and roll tunes about fast food and broken hearts. Laying down originals with a hint of The Sonics, Little Richard, The Wailers, Chuck Berry, Amos Milburn…and good stuff like that.

So there you have it. So come on down, dress sharp as a tack, ’cause the party is goin on, DOWN AT THE CHICKEN SHACK!!!
