Danny Sherwood is a pianist singer-songwriter performing lyric-led, jazz-tinged folk-blues. Danny’s voice is a deep baritone and his piano style eclectic, inspired by jazz, blues, gospel and classical. This creates an evocative mood that hints at Tom Waits. You can hear Bob Dylan’s influence in his storytelling, Ben Folds in his dark humour, Regina Spektor in his simplicity and tenderness. Danny rolls together these elements with many others to create a warm, intimate sound that is uniquely his own.
