Kate Bond returns for her headline gig at Paper Dress Vintage on the 8th of June with her female funk ‘n’ soul band. After the success of her DIY ‘Divide and Rule’ UK Tour in February, Kate brings us a night filled with her infamous ‘f\*ck you soul’, with special guests Kalla and Goodwin.
Kate Bond is an up-and-coming Neo-soul artist originally from Bradford and now based in London. Releasing her debut EP on the 3rd of February, ‘Divide and rule’, Kate tackles the difficult subject matter with beautiful and poignant effort. Her music is rooted in female empowerment and sonically reminds us of old-school soul/ hip hop and newer influences like Joy Crookes and Arlo Parks.
Heartbroken in London, KALLA poured himself into his upcoming self-produced Indie Soul EP ‘Transitions’. Taking a massive risk relocating to London, the half-Irish-Indian Belfast-born songwriter set off with nothing but a plane ticket and his guitar. It soon paid off when he was selected from over 2000 people to be a part of a cutting-edge Incubator program, Qube Futures.
Goodwin, most known for his alternative fashion content on Tiktok, is an indie soul artist from Manchester. Taking influence from Bakar and Rex Orange County, Goodwin is one of a kind. With heartfelt and honest lyrics sung in soft yet soulful tones. Still yet to release music on major streaming platforms, Andy is one to watch for future releases.
