New Folk for Palestine: Compost Compost Compost + Oscar Browne + small copper

Limited tickets available HERE

We cordially invite you to an evening of songs old and new, with all proceeds going to the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund.

Expect wolfy strings (think cello, fiddle, harp, banjo, guitar, double bass), shimmering electronics and never-heard-before compositions crafted specifically for this night.

Special guests have been invited to bewitch the room with colourful collaborations.

COMPOST COMPOST COMPOST

A new electro-acoustic trio based in North London. Isaac and George recontextualise Jamie’s sinuous folk songwriting with impressionistic double bass and atmospheric layers of analogue electronics. Endlessly pushing each other in new directions, the resulting music is an impassioned exploration of their friendship and contrasting creative approaches, with poetic lyricism, breathing improvisation and exploratory electro-acoustic soundworlds.

OSCAR BROWNE

A twenty-five-year young multi-instrumentalist-come-singer-songwriter, who’s spellbinding style of meticulous alt-folk, is a contemporary force of seminal nature.

Building a world out of pine trees and finger-picked-mortar, and nesting warmly within the branches of Stephen Fretwell, Nick Mulvey, and John Martyn, Oscar Browne’s roots lie in the foundational intricacy of golden- age songwriting.

small copper

A new duo comprising of cello, fiddle and the voices of Annie Walton and Laura Hussey. They want to share their own takes on the traditional and contemporary songs that they come across.
