Paper Dress Live presents…

CURSER

CURSER began in 2019 when Herbie Jones (Vox/Guitar) called on old friend Bleu Wright (Drums) and new friend Alex Lambert (Bass).

Now a 4-piece band (with the addition of Peter Schunemann as second guitar) CURSER’s sound is often described as “Alternative Rock”, however the band like to keep things fresh with each song while maintaining their identifiable sound and rock-rooted style – aggressive yet melancholic, with lots of audible influences, twists and turns sure to keep listeners interested.

Unlucky

Unlucky is the brand new and exciting project led by the prolific producer Patrick James Fitzroy who has worked behind the scenes on some of the best modern and popular records, he has worked with PVA, Sunnbrella, Automotion, Sorry, and more…

His band delivers an experimental yet extremely catchy and well binded shoegazy rock’n’roll.

Body Orchestra

Body Orchestra are a new four piece ensemble based in London featuring composer/singer Vincent C Smith (Insecure men, Muckspreader, Pet Deaths, Fat Dog, Dan Lyons and the Tenants), drummer Seb Bloom (Gionatan Scali, Bande To Part) double bassist Sam Hollis (Modern Nature, Fraszer Merrick) and violinist Beth Elliott (Kassia String Quartet) . After meeting when studying at Trinity Laban Conservatoire – Smith, Elliott and Bloom discovered a shared love of improvisation and avant garde music, and brought in Hollis to form Body Orchestra. Combining the free improvisation of Ornette Coleman, folk ballads of Nick Drake, the deeply expressive textures of Tim Hecker and the intensity of Swans, Body Orchestra offer a diverse live set, exercising demons in their improvisation and haunting the audience in their songs.
