Farrago – 10pm
London-based alt-folk band Farrago started life as the solo project of singer-songwriter Ian Bennett. His poetic and thought-provoking songs have evolved into intoxicating cinematic soundscapes, characterised by powerful, multi-layered sounds. Farrago’s music is an intricately woven musical blend, with acoustic guitar, soulful vocals, soaring violin, and powerful bass and drums.

Russell Joslin and Sarah McCaig – 9:20pm

Russell Joslin is a singer/songwriter based in North East London (UK). He grew up in the countryside of Wiltshire before moving to London and quickly found himself the solo support act to much larger touring bands such as The Early Years, Scouting for Girls and Dot Allison. His first album ‘Dream Token’ was released in 2009 and was received by the press as ‘an album of eloquent beauty’, his sophomore effort ‘Jet Black And White’ was released summer 2011 and led to national radio play on BBC radio and XFM. He is currently touring his 3rd album ‘Harlequins’ and showcasing his duet with Melbourne raised Sarah McCaig – his girlfriend and singing partner, all over Europe and the UK.

Ben has been writing, recording and playing live as a solo artist and also with his band, Mozzy Green, for a number of years now. He has played live up and down the country, supporting and touring with artists including Frank Turner, Ed Sheeran, Turin Brakes, Grandaddy, Charli XCX, Noisettes, etc etc. and UK festivals including Secret Garden Party, In The City, Cambridge Folk Festival, Standon Calling and Beautiful Days.

Ben has released two albums, ‘Avocado Chip’ and ‘Bits of Pigs and Peaces’. Avocado Chip was named by iTunes as one of the best albums of 2012. Currently recording his third album, due for release in 2016.

Real folk music with grunge intent performing at the great gig in the sky. WHOM BY FIRE are a poignant & sometimes comically abrasive duo. Taking inspiration from musical heroes such as Nick Cave, Nirvana, Willie Nelson, and other artists not beginning with the Letter N.
